Basic Life Support

BLS Initial Course – A 4-hour traditional instructor led course that covers one and two rescuer CPR for adults, children and infants. Proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) is covered along with what to do if someone is choking. A written test will be administered along with a skills assessment during the course.

BLS Online only allow you to take the course online. This course covers the same material as the classroom-based course, but allows you to complete it at your own pace. Once you complete the online portion, you will need to schedule complete a practice/skills session. Upon successful completion of your skills session, you will receive your AHA certification card for BLS for Healthcare Providers that is good for 2 years. Upon completion of the online you have only 60 days to complete your skills session.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

ACLS & Airway Management Initial Course – 2 day traditional instructor led course that includes all required lessons and skills practice set forth by the AHA for a first timer or a healthcare provider that needs a little extra practice.

ACLS Heart Code Online Key – A blended learning option that offers the flexibility to complete the cognitive portion online through the AHA’s only approved website. Southwest Sedation Education then offers the flexibility of scheduling the practice and testing at one of our reagulaly schdeduled continuing education programs. ACLS Renewal Course – 1 day traditional instructor led course designed for the healthcare provider who is renewing and is confident in their ACLS knowledge and skills.
