On-Site Inspection Evaluation and Preparatory Course
Pursuant to rule 110.18 all level 2, 3 and 4 permit holders in Texas will be subject to at least one inspection. Southwest Sedation Education offers an onsite office inspection evaluation and preparatory course consisting of a mock inspection. This on-site continuing education program will help you prepare for the board’s inspection.
Our staff will coordinate a convenient date to come to your office and provide a 1-day (8 hours) continuing education program to review and inspect office emergency policies, protocols, airway kit, emergency drug kit and all appropriate emergency and monitoring equipments to ensure a smooth inspection process.
Recommendations, samples of sedation related forms and ongoing support will be provided as needed. All participants receive 8 hours of continuing education credit.
Course Objectives and Topics Covered
In this continuing education program the dentist along with his or her staff will obtain the knowledge and demonstrate the methods of treatment for the following emergencies:
- Airway obstruction
- Bronchospasm
- Emesis and aspiration of foreign material under anesthesia
- Angina pectoris
- Myocardial infarction
- Hypotension
- Hypertension
- Cardiac arrest
- Allergic reaction
- Convulsions
- Hypoglycemia
- Syncope
- Respiratory depression
